The opportunity to perform
Â
Theatre and drama is popular at BSB, with most students performing at some point during their time at School. Annual drama productions take place across all years, ranging from full scale musicals to classical texts to modern adaptations. Our facilities allow for both big and small productions and enable students to learn technical aspects of production such as stage management, lighting, sound, and make-up.

- The purpose-built Brel Theatre seats 240 and contains state-of-the-art equipment, lighting, a workshop, and a Green Room.
- The smaller, more intimate Horta Studio seats 100 and is suitable for smaller productions. Many students have the opportunity to showcase their own work here.
- Other venues around campus are frequently used as temporary performance spaces, making use of their unique features to produce site-specific theatre.
BSB also boasts a dedicated Costume Department which houses over 2,500 costumes. Textile students are encouraged to lend a hand and produce new costumes for a show.
The Drama Department has access to two rehearsal rooms that enable both teaching and exploration of practical work. Both rooms have full access to sound and computer equipment.
