Every student is exceptional

BSB follows a British-based Curriculum up to the age of 16, adapted to the needs of our international student population. At the age of 16, our students take 9 or 10 GCSEs or International GCSEs Post-16 students are given the option to study for English A Levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, with French and Dutch bilingual programmes available. We are the only international school in Belgium to offer this choice.

At BSB, we value the unique contribution made by every student. Individuals create communities. Within them, our differences create diversity. We provide a supportive, progressive, and international environment where achievement is valued, talent is nurtured, and individuality is given the freedom to thrive.

In this supportive and inspiring environment, students learn to become engaged and active members of the community, respecting the School, respecting each other, and respecting the wider world. We've worked hard to create a multicultural, international, tolerant, and progressive community that enables individuals to work with each other and inspires success.

We encourage students to play a full and active role in life both inside and outside the classroom. We take academic progress seriously -- but provide a non-adversarial environment where students are supported and expected to better themselves, rather than their classmates. Both academic and extra-curricular progress is valued. Each student is unique.

We pride ourselves on having small class sizes and excellent, highly qualified teachers to lead them, inspiring, challenging, and supporting our students. Our examination record speaks for itself but, ultimately, preparing our students for the challenges of life after their exams is equally, if not more, important.

Our aim is to send young adults out into the world as balanced, self confident, compassionate, socially aware human beings who will be willing and able to make a difference to the world.

Education is our goal at BSB. We teach students about the world, about the community, and about themselves.

We teach. And we’re always learning. Our approach inspires success.
