Practical and theoretical skills combined

At BSB, students are given the opportunity to learn a wide variety of skills, crafts, and technical knowledge that will give them hands-on experience of real life, real world occupations, professions, and problem solving. From computers to cookery, students are encouraged to find a technology course that excites them, inspires them, and will form the framework for a practical skill they can use throughout their lives.

Each student chooses a different path – with every student encouraged to pursue their individual interests and talents. All our courses are linked by one thing: the importance of teaching students that practical skills and theoretical knowledge are interlinked. This means teaching problem solving and design skills alongside manufacturing skills, and giving students a solid theoretical background in the subjects they study.

Students are fully supported by dedicated staff and state of the art facilities, ranging from our newly built Design and Technology department, to ICT suites filled with the latest equipment for computer work, and, of course, fully equipped kitchens, studios, and workshops.
