We're a British School. But as a truly multicultural environment, we're not restricted by British tradition. At the British School of Brussels, we believe in a modern, supportive, yet academically rigorous approach that's sensitive to the needs of our students and their families, encouraging both educational and extra-curricular growth.

Our aim is to create young adults who are able and willing to rise to the challenge of the modern world, with respect for themselves and each other, responsible, engaged, equally able to work as part of a team or to lead it. Our governance and management, our faculty, our curriculum, our facilities, and our philosophy all work in support of that aim.

At the British School of Brussels, we use first name terms in all relationships, emphasising the essential truth that everyone matters. Our approach encourages mutual respect and teaches students from an early age to value everyone on the campus equally. Students respect the School, they respect each other, and they respect the importance of education.

We take a modern, progressive approach to education that focuses on the individual needs of every student. BSB encompasses a diverse community and with between sixty and seventy different nationalities, our School is an international school which is very much an extended family, to students, staff and parents. Students feel safe and welcome here, their talents are encouraged, and their achievements rewarded.

We aim to support our students and offer a wide variety of academic and extra-curricular activities, from language clubs to sports teams, from Design and Technology to lessons in Food and Nutrition. Our alumni pursue many different paths, from TV & Media to Science and Engineering, the Arts, and more. Students are encouraged to excel at everything they do, and to choose a path that's right for them. Talent is encouraged wherever it is found.
