Our students

As an International Learning Community consisting of 1200 students aged between 1 and 18 years old across Primary and Secondary Schools, we are a diverse and inclusive community. Approximately 40 - 50% of students are British, while on average between 60 and 70 different nationalities are represented. Students work together in a supportive and respectful environment, aided by an excellent pastoral system and dedicated teaching staff. Both Primary and Secondary Schools are part of the same beautiful Tervuren campus. Students are very happy at BSB.

As we are an International School, we have a somewhat transient student population, a reflection on the global mobility of the families who choose to educate their children here. We are very experienced at helping new children settle quickly irrespective of when they join. We ensure the entire family is helped with minimum fuss.

Diversity is encouraged. Differences are valued. Achievement is personal. Competition is friendly. Co-operation is commonplace. Whether they are in class, in the cafeteria, in Primary School or in Secondary School, all our students are responsible and respectful of each other.

Extra-curricular activities are popular in Primary and Secondary School, with a wide variety of options available, ranging from sports teams to language clubs, a debating society, and an environmental awareness group. Students are given every opportunity to develop their talents, pursue their interests, and achieve their goals.
