Introduction:

We are delighted to invite you to this IT Conference for teachers of all subjects and age ranges. Over recent years we have seen considerable increases in technology available for teachers in our classrooms, but has the training of teaching staff in the use of these technologies kept pace?

ICT in the Secondary School
With this need in mind in our own school, we have put together a series of high quality courses which we also want to open to other international schools. Subjects covered include Modern Foreign Languages, Mathematics, Science, English, Geography, History, DT, Art and Special Educational Needs.
We have invited external consultants, who are specialists in their field, and volunteer teachers to provide the workshop training. This has been done at an affordable cost to most International Schools within easy reach of Brussels: it is a non-profit making event for teachers by teachers. Furthermore, we would be happy to hear from potential participants who could also offer courses that can be added to the final programme.
If the conference is an attempt to plug the potential gap between teaching skills and this ever changing technology now, we then hope to create a future forum where teachers can share ideas and resources on the use of ICT in their own subject area as we continue to develop our skills over the coming years.
