Philosophy & Objectives

The British School of Brussels has created an ambitious mission statement which will act as our inspiration over the coming years. The Board of Governors regularly reviews its Strategic Plan in the light of this statement.
 

In early spring 2006, the Board of Governors concluded its consultations and discussions concerning our Philosophy and Objectives. Parents, staff, students and friends of the School helped to refine the Board's ideas and the 'P & O' was ratified by the Board in January 2006 and reviewed a year later as part of the Council of International Schools' accreditation process. The final version was adopted by the Board in January 2007.

Our students looked carefully at the 'P & O' and translated them into language appropriate for the Primary and Secondary Schools.  In the summer of 2007, staff worked with the students to simplify the ideas and give a clear focus to each School.
