There is a long-standing tradition of curricular and extra-curricular Drama at BSB.

• Annual drama productions are presented across the entire student age-range from Kindergarten to Year 13 ranging from full scale musicals to classical texts to modern adaptations, with original devised work being created for exam performances.
• Students not only explore performance, but are also given an opportunity to be trained in technical aspects of theatre such as stage management, lighting, sound and make-up.
• All exploration is supplemented by workshops carried out by professional practitioners, visiting theatre companies and theatre trips.

BSB's commitment to Drama is fostered by the existence of the purpose-built 240-seat Brel Theatre with state-of-the-art technical equipment, workshop and Green Room and the more intimate venue of the 100-seat Horta Studio. Other venues are frequently turned into temporary performance spaces. We also have a Costume Department which houses more than 2.500 costumes.
