Our curriculum is British based and uniquely adapted to the needs of our international and diverse student body. There is an Early Childhood Centre for children aged 1-3. Our Primary School offers a bespoke enquiry-based curriculum. Students in Year 10 & 11 study for (I)GCSE and BTEC courses. Post-16 students can choose from three internationally recognised pre-university examination courses: English A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or BTEC. Our Enrichment programme is exceptional, offering over 100 activities per week.

The Computer Science Department
This is an ideal opportunity to join a Department developing and implementing changes to curriculum with huge scope at BSB to create a KS3 curriculum that provokes joy and wonder in Computer Science and beyond. We are in the process of creating a future vison for the wider Maths and Computer Science Faculty and we hope to attract someone to this role who can contribute actively to this exciting process.

Students begin their IGCSE course in Year 10 and sit the examination in spring of Y11. In Years 12 and 13 we offer the IB and A’Level pathways for students in Computer Science.

The role
The ideal candidate should be able to offer Computer Science across the Secondary School age range, ideally with experience of (I)GCSE and A level or IB, if a qualified teacher.
The Department is looking for a well-qualified Computer Science graduate. We are open to applications from candidates with a range of experience profiles, which could be within teaching or Computer Science fields, such as programming.

Experienced, Qualified Teachers, Early Career Teachers and graduates wishing to embark on a QTS programme are all welcome to apply.
For Early Career teachers, or if new to teaching, the successful applicant would be expertly mentored to achieve ECT or QTS status.  For qualified teachers, BSB offers outstanding Professional Learning opportunities.

Interviews will be held at the school or via Teams week commencing Monday 25 September and this process will include a sample lesson and opportunities to meet potential colleagues and students.
