News 19 December 2017
Parents, students, staff and alumni came together to enjoy the annual BSB Christmas Market on Saturday 2 December in our Jacques Rogge Sports Centre.
Stalls selling a wide variety of artisanal items, edible goods and festive gifts proved popular in the sports hall. Meanwhile, a wide variety of food items were on sale in the Swoosh Lounge, from traditional turkey and cranberry sandwiches to Singaporean delicacies – there certainly was something for everyone. We were also delighted to see so many attendees generously supporting Dementia UK and Facing The World, charities chosen by our Secondary students, by purchasing raffle tickets and Christmas cards.
We enjoyed festive performances by our incredible Junior Singers, Street Dance groups and Parents’ Choir. A selection of traditional games, such as splat-a-rat and hook-a-duck kept our younger visitors entertained too. Of course, the Surprises Room (a children-only zone) was also busy with Primary students eagerly selecting Christmas gifts for their families at pocket money-friendly prizes. All Surprise Room purchases were wrapped on the spot by a team of volunteers to ensure maximum secrecy!
Thank you to all the parents, staff members, students and alumni (as well as families and friends) who joined us to enjoy the seasonal food, stalls and performances.
