Secondary education at BSB runs from age 11 to 18, and every stage of the journey is shaped by one core belief: that academic success and personal growth go hand in hand. BSB is the only school in Belgium to offer A Levels, the IB Diploma and BTEC vocational qualifications — giving every student a genuine choice of pre-university pathway that plays to their strengths, interests and ambitions.
Our 2025 IB students averaged 36 points against a global average of 31. Our GCSE pass rate of 94% compares with a UK national average of 67.4%. These are remarkable outcomes for a truly non-selective school.

The Bilingual Programme
The bilingual French/English programme continues through Years 7, 8 and 9 at BSB Secondary — taught by dedicated mother-tongue speakers of each language. Students who join from our Primary bilingual track continue their immersive journey seamlessly; new students may also join, subject to assessment.
At the end of Year 9, all students enter the British GCSE programme together, bringing with them the extraordinary advantage of near-native French alongside their English academic foundation — a gift that opens doors across Europe and beyond.
Three pathways. One outstanding school
From Year 7 through to Year 13, the BSB curriculum is designed to broaden and deepen — building knowledge, critical thinking and the habits of a lifelong learner at every stage. At GCSE and IGCSE level, students develop a broad academic foundation. Then, from Year 12, they choose the route that’s right for them.
A Levels allow students to specialise deeply in subjects they love. The IB Diploma develops internationally-minded, well-rounded thinkers. BTEC qualifications offer a rigorous, career-focused vocational route in Business, Sport or Hospitality. All three pathways are equally valued, equally excellent and lead to universities worldwide.
Exceptional facilities on a beautiful green campus
BSB’s campus facilities are among the finest of any school in Europe. Students have access to a 25m indoor swimming pool, a fully equipped sports centre with dance studio, fitness suite and multi-purpose hall, and a professional theatre for drama, music and film.
Science labs, modern art, textiles and design rooms, and kitchen classrooms provide dedicated spaces for hands-on work. Additionally, three libraries support every stage of learning, and a state-of-the-art technology suite brings computing, coding and robotics to life.
