BSB offers the best value school fees amongst any international school in Belgium.

We have the lowest fees overall, including application fees, compared to schools of a similar size. There are no extras (‘campus’ or ‘development’ fees), and almost all of our extensive range of extra-curricular activities are free of charge. This is unusual in the international school world.

BSB is a private, fee-paying school. School fees are revised annually by the Board of Governors in the spring of each year, and are due in one single payment each May for the following academic year. Fees may be payable in instalments by arrangement with the Finance Department.

Payment of fees

Parents are invoiced annually each May and payment is usually due within 30 days of invoicing. Payment may be made in installments throughout the year by special arrangement with the Finance Department. An additional fee may be charged for this service.

Parents are ultimately responsible for payment of the total sums due, regardless of any subsidies provided by their employer.

If you are having trouble paying fees, have any general questions regarding payment or administration, please contact the Finance Department directly.

For students joining us during the course of an academic year, invoices are issued within six weeks of enrolment. The following reductions in the annual fees are applicable:

Assisted places

BSB is an open, diverse, and inclusive school. To promote inclusiveness and foster a wider sense of community, we offer a limited number of Assisted Places each year, increasing the accessibility of BSB for all.

Parents who qualify for our Assisted Places scheme are given additional support in paying school fees in the form of a bursary, and may be able to spread the remaining cost of tuition by paying in installments throughout the year.

To see if you qualify for our Assisted Places scheme, please contact Johan Servranckx, Finance & Operations Director.

Notice of withdrawal

The contract between the school and the parent(s) requires that notice of withdrawal is given in writing to the Principal. A refund of fees for students who leave early during the school year will only be given if this written notification of withdrawal, in accordance with the contract, has been received by:

  • 31 March for withdrawal at the end of the Summer Term
  • 30 September for withdrawal at the end of the Autumn Term
  • 31 January for withdrawal at the end of the Spring Term

Where a full academic term's notice of termination of the contract with the school has not been received by the dates given above, parents will be invoiced for a full academic term's fees in lieu of a term's notice of withdrawal.
