Nearly a decade after our Guiding Statements and Values were created by the BSB community, we asked what vision should guide us now. Through a community-wide process involving students, staff, families, alumni and governors, one clear statement emerged:
Our five Strategic Priorities describe the experience we want to strengthen for every learner and every member of our community. They are connected, not separate. Together, these priorities give BSB a clear direction for the years ahead. They are ambitious because they look outward to the future, and grounded because they grow from who we are: an inclusive, international learning community committed to being a force for good.
“Technology plays a prominent role at BSB. The rationale is to equip all students with skills that are important in today’s digital society. Our Computing Curriculum is designed to build confidence in STEAM learning from Kindergarten through to Secondary. Our hands-on tools make learning playful, engaging and relevant, while developing students’ ability for critical thinking, communication and 21st century skills, like coding and robotics.”
“The moment I joined BSB, I felt a real sense of belonging. The community is warm, supportive, respectful and positive. It is a pleasure to be surrounded by caring, dedicated colleagues and wonderful children. I feel privileged to be working in such an amazing school. I love working together with the children as they embark on their lifelong learning journeys. The level of care and trust that the Leadership Team have in their staff is so unique and special; I have never felt so motivated and empowered to teach and learn.”
