Another accolade for BSB as we rank among the top performing IB schools in the world

A league table of IB Diploma Schools in the world has recently been published. The British School of Brussels (BSB) has been ranked as the Number 1 school for IB results in Belgium.  Not only has BSB been independently ranked Number 1 in Belgium, but also Number 2 in Europe and in the top 50 globally.

John Knight, Vice-Principal & Head of Secondary School at BSB said “we were already celebrating the phenomenal 38-point average IB Diploma score our cohort achieved last year and is a great recognition of the outstanding work ethic and positivity demonstrated by our students and staff.   This independent ranking is fantastic news. Our school goes from strength to strength, with graduating students going to some of the most prestigious universities in the world.”

Melanie Warnes, CEO & Principal at BSB said “BSB consistently performs at this top level because we recruit and retain the highest quality inspirational teachers who are the best in their field.  In addition, students are supported by a raft of superb support and pastoral staff.  It is absolutely wonderful to have this recognition especially as we do not select our students by academic ability.”

The independent ranking was compiled by Education Advisers Ltd, an education consultancy which operates seven separate websites concerning private education in the UK and world-wide. www.IB-Schools.com is their specialist site about International Baccalaureate schools, and aims to provide clear information, advice and services to parents and students seeking a private education. As a team of British educationalists, between them, they have taught and worked both in the UK and beyond.
