BSB is the first international school to become a partner of the Early Excellence Centre for Inspirational Learning

Recognised for attaining elements of excellence, and a high standard of practice that is based on fundamental pedagogy within the Early Years sector, BSB has been accepted as one of the first international schools within Europe to become a training partnership school of the Early Excellence Centre for Inspirational Learning. BSB’s application was positively received, reinforcing its strong values and pedagogy approaches.

‘This has greatly supported our learning journey as we continuously strive to ensure we achieve the highest level of provision across the early years programme at BSB’, said Esther O’Connor, Team Leader Primary.

Early Excellence is a regional development centre serving schools and early years.  An established national leader of pedagogy, provision and practice, specialising in young children’s education. Early Excellence champion the development of inspirational learning and teaching, offering expert advice, support and training to schools.   They provide support to schools and early years settings to understand and respond to the ever-changing landscape of education policy and keep a sharp focus on the leadership of quality provision.

‘Partnering with the Early Excellence Centre means that we are able to work with some of the world’s leading academics and specialists in early childhood and primary education; bringing new perspectives to inform and challenge our thinking about pedagogy and practice’ said Neil Ringrose, Vice Principal & Head of Primary School.

BSB will be investigating the possibilities of leading a conference or workshops to deepen understanding of learning and development for these youngsters.  There are also opportunities for BSB to work collaboratively with the Centre on research programmes and case studies.

‘This is wonderful news for our school and reinforces and enhances our own Professional Learning Community, created in 2016 that promotes collaboration, connection and creativity with all members of the BSB community both in and outside of the school,’ said Melanie Warnes, Principal & CEO.
