Vice Principal and Head of Secondary

The CEO and Principal invites applications for the post of Vice Principal and Head of Secondary of The British School of Brussels (BSB) for September 2024 or January 2025.

Opened in 1970, BSB is a highly successful not for profit international school providing a holistic education for 1,350 students aged 1 – 18 years, from 70 different nationalities.  BSB is consistently ranked as one of the top performing schools in the world and was named the Spears School of the year 2023 for the quality of its holistic provision.  BSB is truly international and inclusive in its approach to a full and well-rounded education within a harmonious, caring, and aspirational community of learners. Inspirational teaching and learning takes place within a superbly resourced campus adjacent to a mature forest and park near Brussels. Here student agency is encouraged, and scholarly endeavour is valued.

BSB operates an Early Childhood Centre for children aged 1-3 years, a primary school covering Years 1-6, and is the only secondary school in Belgium to offer three pre-university routes: A Levels, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and BTEC vocational courses. The school offers a dynamic and extensive extra-curricular programme for students to pursue their passions and develop their talents. BSB Futures is a dedicated and school-wide initiative that builds students’ connections with the professional world and ensure that they are equipped for whichever path they choose to take after leaving the school.

This post offers an exciting senior leadership opportunity for a candidate with a proven track record of successful leadership experience and a genuine commitment to the values and principles of our school. The successful candidate will build on the Secondary School’s ongoing success, working closely with the CEO & Principal to ensure an aspirational strategic view for the future. They will bring energy and vision, along with a collaborative approach and desire to bring the best out of others.
