Our curriculum is British based and uniquely adapted to the needs of our international and diverse student body. There is an Early Childhood Centre for children aged 1-3. Our Primary School offers a bespoke enquiry-based curriculum. Students in Year 10 & 11 study for (I)GCSE and BTEC courses. Post-16 students can choose from three internationally recognised pre-university examination courses: English A Levels, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or BTEC.  Our Enrichment programme is exceptional, offering over 100 activities per week.

We are seeking to employ an exceptional, suitably qualified Maternity Cover Teacher of Mathematics with strong subject knowledge who can bring passion, enthusiasm and experience to the faculty, and the school, as a whole.

The Mathematics Department

Our Mathematics Department is a high-achieving and popular subject area within the school and consistently supports our students to exceptional academic outcomes. The Mathematics Department sits within the Mathematics and Computing Faculty, which is currently in an exciting phase of development following a school wide review of our Year 5-8 curriculum.  Applications are particularly welcome from colleagues with an interest in, or experience of, curriculum innovation and development.

Beyond the classroom

The Mathematics Department runs a range of co-curricular activities, including lunchtime clubs, online competitions, attendance at UKMT challenges and other international mathematics competitions, such as the IMSTF. We also undertake to enrich our Y12 students with a visit to London for Maths in Action.

Your Profile
The faculty is looking for a well-qualified Mathematics graduate with the ability to teach Mathematics across the Secondary School age range (11-18) including GCSE, ideally with experience of at least one of, ‘A’ level or IB for Years 12 and 13. We expect applicants to have a suitable degree and teaching qualification. We would encourage experienced teachers, as well as teachers at the beginning of their career, with a background in the UK or in International Schools to apply to join our exceptional Mathematics team.

For candidates with suitable experience, there is also a possibility to express interest in the Mathematics Key Stage Coordinator role. Please indicate in your application if you also wish to be considered for this Band 5 role. The ideal candidate should be able to lead a team with enthusiasm, shaping vision and achieving the faculty mission. They will create and refine a bespoke curriculum that fosters competence in, and inspires a love of, Mathematics and its use, and structure and monitor teaching and learning across selected year groups. The candidate would ideally have experience of teaching iGCSE and preferably some experience in teaching IB and or A level Mathematics (BSB Learning & Teaching scale – Band 5 representing a minimum of € 64.580 and a maximum of € 117.214 gross per year (depending on the years of relevant experience).
